My newborn shoots capture those oh so precious first weeks and create some of the most treasured memories a parent will have; all in comfort of your own home.
They are relaxed and always baby led, I know from personal experience the stresses that can sometimes occur in those first weeks which is why I will guide you though the whole process starting with my pre-shoot guide giving you all the information on what you can expect on the day. Ensuring you will be able to relax and enjoy the process of creating and capturing your babies magical moments.

Which session is right for you?
Newborn
A session for babies under 3 weeks old lasting around 2 hours. I will capture your little one in a series of poses all in the comfort of your own home.
After the shoot you’ll be able to download all the fully edited images from your personal gallery.

FAQ
When will I get my images?
After our shoot I will need time to go through and edit your images. This usually takes around two weeks.
What will you bring with you?
I like to keep things as simple as possible so it's basically me my camera, a series of lenses and some small lights, although I only use these if its very dark. In addition to this I will also bring a series of blankets and props for baby to lay on.
Do I have to order prints through you?
The short answer is no. Once you receive your digital images what you do with them is up to you. My Heirloom packages off an addition of Art prints and you can also order a selection directly through your gallery. However I would always recommend having them professionally printed so do ask if you would like some help.
What happens if I am unhappy with my images?
So far this hasn't happened but if you were to receive your images and you weren't completely happy with them we would look to resolve this and re-run the session again if necessary.
What happens if my baby won't sleep?
I suggest that babies are under 3 weeks old for newborn shoots as after then they definitely sleep less. That said even tiny babies have days when they are more active and in these cases I will stay with you a bit longer to try and capture some sleepy pictures but don't worry if baby completely refuses to sleep we will still manage to get some lovely eyes open pictures.
What do you suggest we wear for our session?
You've just had a baby so be comfortable! But light neutral colours in soft fabrics always look great.
What is Journeys Bound?
You may have noticed this name appearing on invoices etc, Journeys Bound is the company I set up focussing upon print, specifically photo books. It is also still the company name "Emily Daniel Photography" trades under. Don't worry its still only me!
